Public articles can be read without creating an account. When you subscribe to new-article notifications, the subscription system requires an email address and may accept an optional first name. It also creates the confirmation and management records needed to verify the request, deliver notifications, change an address, unsubscribe, or delete a subscriber record.

The web host, WordPress installation, security tools, mail-delivery service, and other operational providers may process ordinary technical information such as an Internet Protocol address, browser or device details, timestamps, requested addresses, delivery status, and security events. That information is used to operate, secure, diagnose, and maintain the site and its requested email service.
How information is used
Subscription information is used to manage and deliver the article notifications a subscriber requested, maintain subscription preferences, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot delivery. The Edge of Eternity does not sell personal information.

Reading public content does not require a public account. WordPress and connected operational services may use cookies or similar local storage when needed for administration, security, subscription confirmation, or a service opened through an external link. Hosting, security, mail delivery, and other service providers may receive the limited information needed to perform their work. A linked website or external donation service controls its own privacy practices; this policy does not govern a destination after you leave The Edge of Eternity.

Subscription information is retained while a subscription is active and as reasonably needed to honor a change, unsubscribe request, deletion request, delivery record, security need, or legal obligation. The manage-subscription and unsubscribe links included with subscription messages are the primary controls for subscription information. The site does not operate a general public contact form.
